Staining
Concrete staining is
a great alternative to traditional coatings. Beyond
being extremely durable, it is easy to maintain and
adds the quality of a unique appearance that is not possible
with traditional coatings.

Staining
Process
Designed to restore the appearance of old concrete floors or
as an application to new construction, the process usually
can be done in as little as two days depending on the size
of the slab. Concrete preparation is done with diamond grinders
or shot blasters. Depending on the desired shine, the concrete
will be polished as smooth as 1500 to 2000 grit. The slab
is cleaned extensively to remove all residue. Stain
is then applied, the process is chemically halted when the
desired effect is achieved, the slab is cleaned once
again, and finally the surface is sealed after it has dried completely.

How long will the floor coating
last?
That depends on how much traffic you have on it. Most claim
as much life as traditional coatings. If you follow a maintenance
program on the floor similar to tile, it will greatly increase
the life of the floor.
How
will I know what the concrete will look like after it is stained?
You will have a basic idea of what your flooring will look like.
One of the unique aspects of concrete staining is that each
floor will have its own character, each trait will be enhanced
by the stain.
Does the staining fade from sun exposure?
No. The stain
and the sealers have UV screeners that protect the finish
from fading.
