Step 1
Preparation begins with the removal of existing coatings and sealers. Advantage Coating prefers to use mechanical methods, such as the Eco-Prep sander, Scarifier or Diamond Grinder, reducing the generation of hazardous waste.

Step 2
Final preparation is chosen based on the coating thickness of your new floor. For coatings of less than 20 mil, Advantage Coating has proven expertise in acid wash preparation.

At over 20 mils of coating thickness, acid wash is used in conjunction with shot-blasting to achieve a rough profile on the concrete.

A revolutionary floor preparation system from Tennant which safely prepares a floor for coating. The process uses the combintation of flint abrasive and a sanding belt to remove membranes, sealers, pains and coatings.
